The double braid nylon weave creates a soft and friendly touch while maintaining an immense working load.  The eye is hand spliced and allows for easy securing to the dock cleat or cleat onboard. The bitter end is whipped and ready to be lashed to a cleat. The dock lines’ overall construction allows for easy handling and resists kinking and knotting. This line will stand up to the elements of the marine environment and keep your boat safe.

Higher twisting of yarns and strands produces a denser, rounder rope with higher abrasion resistance that is less likely to snag.

The LENGTH, SIZE, WEIGHT and TYPE of BOAT and just how expose the docking location is, all need to be considered in choosing a dock line size. The following is a general guide but windy or higher wave locations may require more and heavier lines.

• Transient dock lines used as bow and stern lines should be about 2/3 of the boat’s length
• Spring lines should equal the boat’s length
• Be sure to check the size and location of your boat’s cleats and chocks before selecting a dock line
